They hit the mark well. Quiet and well maintained. It's a bit of a struggle getting the room cleaned sometimes. They probably need more cleaning staff.

I stayed in a double-queen room for work for a few weeks, and it was a pleasant experience. The staff is very attentive and helpful will additional amenities for both cooking and smaller toiletries. Breakfast was promptly hot and ready at 6:30am each morning. The rooms seem to have thicker walls maybe due to being a long stay hotel, and I never had issues with loud neighbors. The downstairs gym is the best I've had at any hotel; three treadmills, two ellipticals, one horizontal bike, free weight dumbbells (two sets!), mats for floor workouts, and a multi- purpose machine for arms, pull ups, etc. There were pots, cups, silver wear, plates, and small bowls in my room. The kitchen had a full-sized fridge, small electric two-burner stove with small dishwasher. I found it perfect for my time there. The only downside (out of the staff's way) is the parking and entrance of the hotel. You can't access it at the stoplight when coming in West, and you have to U-turn. Other than that, nothing but a great stay!

Perfect for a very long TDY to Shaw! It was a very convenient location, and everyone is very professional there. The staff is FANTASTIC and are the most joyful, friendly, and hospitable professionals I've come across. Highly recommend!!!

I had to stay here for 6 months because of my job. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They definitely try their best to make this place feel like home. The kitchenette has almost everything you need. The single king bedrooms are a little small but the double queen bedrooms are quite spacious. The location is pretty good. It is located on the main road and nothing is too far away. They have a nice outdoor seating area with a grill and fire pit to hang out. The parking lot is inconveniently placed making it a little more difficult to get in and out. I like to keep my room pretty toasty but the heater doesn’t maintain the temperature very well. Overall this place is good for a month or two but for longer stays like mine, I would try to get something with a bigger kitchen and living area.

A buffet-style breakfast is hot and ready at 6:30am Mon-Fri and 7am on the weekends. Ms. Tavita and Ms. Jackie were amazing company to talk with at breakfast time and they stayed on top of keeping the food stocked, the coffee full, and the tables cleared. The rooms are sound-proofed pretty well, so no issues with hearing other guests. The on-site gym has three treadmills, two ellipticals, one horizontal bike, free weight dumbbells, mats for floor workouts, and a multi-purpose machine for arms/back/chest. The kitchen has a microwave, toaster, coffee pot, a full-sized fridge, small electric two-burner stove (no oven), a garbage disposal, and small dishwasher. There are pots, pans, cups, silverware, plates, bowls, food storage containers, and a measuring cup in the cabinets. The only downsides were the size of the parking lot and the entrance of the hotel can only be entered while heading East on Broad Street so you have to U-turn if approaching from the West, also, if you work a night shift, keeping the daylight out during sleep is pretty tough. I would recommend getting a sleeping mask.

Secure building, welcoming staff, clean, well thought out rooms. The location is convenient to everything in the Sumter area. Would definitely stay here again if the front desk staff is still here—intelligent, aware of who the long term guests are and those of us staying for less than a week. A great stay.

This is a clean, nicely designed, hotel that looks and feels new. The parking lot is very well lit.

I have stayed multiple times long term at this location and this hotel is nothing short of excellent!!! The Manager, Assitant Manager, Staff and house keepers are all amazing human beings and truly dedicated to making you have the best long term stay in Sumter. The rooms are great too, and the hotel provides many of the essentials to eat at home while you’re on the road. Would recommend Towneplace Suits to anyone looking for a long term stay in Sumter. Did I mention it’s pet friendly.
